TurfPod has been rebuilt from the ground up, featuring a completely redesigned and robust hardware exterior. The newly developed protective sleeve covers the pins when the TurfPod is not in use, ensuring a safer, more intuitive user experience.
TurfPod continues to measure the key parameters you rely on, and now connects seamlessly to TurfBase Sports via NFC, providing instant and actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making.

We needed a monitoring tool to help us get a better understanding of the microclimate. Using the TurfPod recently resulted in a change in our irrigation plan for some parts of the pitch, after we discovered a difference in soil moisture. The data we receive is very valuable to see even the smallest change in growth factors, which can have a big impact on the pitch at the end.

The TurfPod is charged using a standard USB-C charger, making charging simple and convenient. Simply connect the TurfPod to a USB-C charger when the battery needs recharging.
TurfPod is the only monitoring device that combines in-soil and above-ground growing conditions in one device. It measures soil moisture, soil temperature, salinity (EC), air temperature, relative humidity and PAR light, giving you 24/7 insights into the growing environment of your playing surface.
This depends on your goals, needs and budget. You can start with just one TurfPod to monitor the growing conditions of your pitch. With two TurfPods, for example, you can compare different areas of the pitch, such as shaded and sunny areas. For maximum insight into the conditions across your pitch, you can use up to nine TurfPods per pitch.
Installation is quick and simple. Just place the TurfPod into the soil, and within 5 minutes, it will start sending data to TurfBase.
Yes. The new-generation TurfPods can be used alongside your first-version TurfPods. The data is aligned, allowing you to use both generations together on the same playing surface.
